Holly Clarke Design
I am a graphic designer and modern quilter from Winnipeg, Canada. I have been sewing since the late '90s when I studied fine arts and graphic design in university. In school I discovered a love of textile art and the creative possibilities of combining fabric with design.
In 2017, I discovered an appreciation for quilts and realized that I could combine my love of sewing and fabric with my background in design. I became totally obsessed and haven’t stopped making quilts ever since.
When I'm designing quilts, I love to find creative new ways to combine shapes, colour, and geometry. I write my patterns to be easy to read and follow so that even a beginner quilter can understand and improve their skills while creating something beautiful to be loved and cherished.
I’ve designed more than two dozen quilt patterns, and have worked with Ruby Star Society, Northcott Fabrics (Figo and Anna Maria Textiles), Riley Blake Designs, PBS Fabrics, and Camelot Fabrics. My work has been published in Love Patchwork and Quilting, Canadian Quilter, and Be Creative.
